![]() The 18th Annual Dolphin Challenge was a huge success..Hosted by the Riviera Beach Maritime Academy and the Jupiter Inlet offshore Fishing Club. Over 80 boats participated in this annual event to benefit our young students at the Riviera Beach Maritime Academy and students throughout Palm Beach County.
On Friday June 19th over 50 students participated in the Blue Heron Challenge funded by the 18th Annual Dolphin Challenge..This free day of fishing is sponsored by the entries into the Dolphin Challenge as well as our generous supporters..On Saturday fishing began at 6:30 am til 3pm. Weighins were held at the Jib Club in Jupiter and the new Lake Park Harbor Marina, overlooking the Lake Worth Lagoon. Our anglers and families were treated to a bounce house, pig roast, fashion show ,compliments of Pink Tuna ladies wear..as well as boats from Jupiter Marine, Arg Marine and Viking Yachts plus various vendors and culinary delights. Palm Beach Toyota also provided 2 Tundras for your viewing.The silent auction included many 3 day 2 nite stays in the Abacos ,Grand Bahama Island and Bimini.
The raffle prizes include autographed baseball from Mike Schmidt,Penn rods and reels,Gander Mtn. fishing gear,and many prizes and surprises for the whole family. Captain Norm Isaacs was the Tournament Honorary Chairman .Billfish and snapper were added to this years event which featured the Bull/Cow Combo,largest Dolphin,Kingfish Wahoo and even Bonoto.
