Skin Deeps Day 1 fish of 54.78lbs was enough to win this years Key West Harbor King Mackerel Tournament. In year past this division 10 tournament is one that hials multiple 50+ and sometimes even 60lb smokers. Many would say this weekends conditions were by far some of the nicest fishing contitions in years. That being said were left wondering was the bite just slow or was it the decrease in this years participating teams that resulted in only two 50+ pound kings being scaled. Any 50 pound king in a tournamnet is respectable, but for those who have fished this division 10 event know these waters are home to some of the biggest king mackel around. This event historically draws well over 100 teams, but when the announcemnt that this years 1st place prize money was cut in half from a 21 Contender boat motor and trailer package to only $10,000 allot of teams decided to keep thier boats on the trailers.
Top 10 Teams Overall
1. Skin Deep – 54.78
2. Constant Chaos – 54.64 3. Bar South – 49.09 4. Miller Tyme – 47.40 5. Lightly – 46.89 6. Native Premonitions – 45.77 7. Getcha Some – 45.53 8. Xtended Play – 44.90 9. Promarine USA / Kingpin – 43.98 10. Caliente – 42.53 |
